Jovan Ajduković – doctor of philology, scholarly consultant for Russianisms in Rečnik srpskohrvatskog književnog i narodnog jezika (Dictionary of the Serbo-Croatian Standard Language and Vernacular) of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (from the 16th volume). He acquired his doctoral degree with the theme Russianisms in Contemporary South Slavic and West Slavic Standard Languages according to the Qualifier in Lexicographic Sources. He has published over forty works in home and international journals. He has attended scholarly conferences in Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest, Sofia, Ohrid, Skoplje, Bratislava and Odessa. He is the author of the monograph Rusizmi u srpskohrvatskim rečnicima. Principi adaptacije. Rečnik (Russianisms in Serbo-Croatian Dictionaries. Principles of Adaptation. Dictionary) (Foto Futura, Belgrade, 1997, 331 p.). His new book is to be published in autumn 2003 – Uvod u leksičku kontaktologiju. Teorija adaptacije rusizama. (Introduction to Lexical Contactology. The Theory of Adaptation of Russianisms) (Foto Futura, 2003, 364 p.). He is currently preparing for publication his third book entitled Kontaktološki rečnik adaptacije rusizama u osam slovenskih jezika (The Contactological Dictionary of the Adaptation of Russianisms in Eight Slavic Languages). He is dealing with linguistic and lexical contactology, contact lexicography, the history of language contacts. Ružica Bajić – MA of philology. She works as a researcher associate at the Serbian Language Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. She graduated from General Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She has recently defended the master’s thesis entitled: Sociolingvistički aspekti preferencije srpskog standardnog/crkvenoslovenskog jezika u svojstvu bogoslužbenog jezika Srpske pravoslavne crkve (=Sociolinguistic Aspects of Preference of the Serbian Standard/Church-Slavic Language as the Liturgical Language of the Serbian Orthodox Church). Her fields of interest: sociolinguistics, functional stylistics (particularly the sacral style), general linguistics, applied linguistics. In co-authorship with Ksenija Končarević, PhD, she published the work: O komunikativnim funkcijama liturgijskog diskursa u srpskom jeziku (=On Communicative Functions of the Liturgy Discourse in the Serbian Language) in the collection of papers Коммуникативное поведение славянских народов (Воронеж 2004). Andrei A. Bogatiarev – doctor of philology, professor at the Department of General and Classical Linguistics at the State University of Tver. The sphere of his scientific interests: the theory of text, interpretative linguistics, hermeneutics, stylistics, rhetoric, esthetics of the literary-artistic text. He published over 40 papers. Textbook for philology students – Элементы неявного смыслообразования в художественном тексте (Тверь, 1998). Srdan Bogosavljević – doctor of philology, professor at the Department of Germanistics at the Belgrade University Faculty of Philology. He studied German literature and psychology at the University of Illinois. He achieved his doctor’s degree in 1983 with the thesis: German “Literary Travelogues around the Turn of the Century 1890–1914”. In the period between 1984–1987 he worked as assistant professor of German literature at the University of Skoplje. He published a number of papers on Hoffmanastall, Muesil and expressionistic verse, as well as papers on bathos and zeugma. Giovanna Brogi-Bercoff – doctor of philology, professor at the Department of Slavistics at the University of Milan. She studied Slavistics at the University of Florence. Her doctoral thesis was from Slavic philology: The Legend of St. Aleksei in Russia (Легенда о св. Алексеју у Русији). Her field is the comparative study of the historiographies of renaissance and baroque in the cultures of Dalmatia, Poland, the Ukraine, Russia; baroque in all Slavic and some west-European countries, the functioning and typology of multilingual literature in the cultures of Poland, the Ukraine, Russia etc. She published a great number of papers, some of the more significant of which are: Valori peculiari e generali del Barocco letterario nei paesi slavi. Тадеуш Боруцки (Тадеуш Боруцкий) – scholarly associate of the Teacher Training Academy of Krakow, member of the Translation Department headed by prof. Tadeus Shcherbovsky. Igor Burkhanov (Игор Буркханов) – doctor of linguistics, full professor at the Institute for English Studies of the University of Rzeszów (Poland). Since 1992, at the University of Rzeszów, he has been lecturing on semantics and lexicology, the descriptive grammar of the English language, the contrastive grammar of English and Polish, contrastive analysis and linguistic typology, the theory of translation, applied linguistics. He has and is still giving lectures at several Polish universities, among which we should mention: the University of Olecko, the University of Kielce. He was a lecturer at the University of Baku (the Republic of Azerbaijan), etc. He has published over 50 scholarly works in Russian, Polish and English. He is the author of various articles and books on Russian and South-Slavic literature, culture, society. Mirčeta Vemić – PhD of geographic sciences, scientific associate at the “Jovan Cvijić” Geographic Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade. He is the author of the monograph Teorija značenja u kartografiji (=Theory of Meaning in Cartography) (Belgrade, 1998) and over thirty expert and scientific works and maps in Serbian, Russian and English in the fields of cartography and geography. The narrow field of his interest: the semiotics of cartography. Aleksander Vilkonj (Aleksander Wilkoń) – doctor of philology, full professor at Slask University in Katowice. He was lecturing at the Jagiellonian University, and the University of Nancy (1969–1972) and at Sorbonne (Sorbonne–Paris IV, 1989–1993). He is now giving lectures as a professore ordinario di filologia slava (Università di Napoli “L'Orientale”). He has published over 200 scientific and professional works. She has been vice-dean at the Faculty of Slavic Philology since 1999. She published a great number of papers on syntax, semantics, pragmatics, text-linguistics, the contemporary Bulgarian, verbal communication and stylistics. Marija Vojtak (Maria Wojtak) – professor of the “Marie Curie Sklodowska” University in Lublin. Fields of scholarly interest: historical stylistics, stylistics of drama, applied stylistics, genealogy. Shushkin, N. Rubtsov etc.). Lecturer at the University of Latvia (Riga). Mirjana Gočanin – master of linguistics. She works as a researcher-associate at the Serbian Language Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. She graduated from the Department of the Serbian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. She has recently defended the master’s thesis entitled Antroponimija i patronimija Vrnjačke Banje 1904-1930. godine (The Anthroponymy and Patronymy of Vrnjačka Banja 1904-1930). Currently in print Semantičko-derivaciono gnezdo lekseme “raditi” (The Semantic-Derivational Cluster of the Lexeme “raditi”). Irina V. Dmitrijeva (Ирина В. Дмитриева) – master of philology, senior lecturer, head of the Department of English Language History and Grammar of the State Linguistic University of Minks. She has published over 40 technical and scholarly works. She is a co-author of the university handbook Grammar-Perfect: Form to Function. The sphere of scholarly interests: linguo-pragmatics, text linguistics, functional stylistics, the theory of English language grammar, semantic syntax. Ivona Dojka (Iwona Dojka) – senior undergraduate of Polish philology at Jagiellonian University. Sphere of scholarly interests: sociolinguistics. She investigates the language of the state security police in PRL. The results of the research will be presented in her doctoral dissertation composed at the Teacher Training Academy of Krakow under the tutorship of Professor Maciej Kawke. Miroslav Dudok – doctor of philology, professor of the Slovakian language and modern Slavic philology. He taught at the University of Novi Sad, of Belgrade, Segedin and Bratislava. He is an associate of the SAV Institute of Linguistics in Bratislava and the PAN Institute of Slavistics in Warsaw. The sphere of her scientific interests: lingua-stylization and lingua-poetics, lingua-pragmatics, analysis of discourse. Barbara Zandih (Barbara Sandig) – doctor of linguistics. Since 1979 she has been a professor of the German language at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. She has published several significant studies in stylistics, textual linguistics and the linguistics of textual types, linguistic assessment, prospects and phraseology. Rajnhard Ibler (Reinhard Ibler) – doctor of philology, professor of Slavic literatures at the Oto fon Girike University in Meideburg. Since 1999 he has been a full professor of Slavic philology (study on literature) at the Phillips University in Marburg. He published several significant studies dedicated to Rusistics, west-Slavic and south-Slavic philology. The sphere of his scientific interests: Russian and Czech literature, the comparative history of Slavic literatures, literature theory, typology and history of literary genres, poetics of poem cycles. Svetlana Ivanjenko (Switlana Iwanenko) – master of philology, lecturer at the Department of German Philology of Kiev National Linguistic University (Ukraine). In 1979 she graduated from the “F. Schiller” University of Jena (Germany), and in 1987 she defended her master’s thesis Межстилевой жанр «коммюнике» и его лингво-текстовые характеристики (на материале текстов на немецком языке). She is a co-author of the journal Linguostilistische Textinterpretation (1998) and the author of the monograph Поліфонія тексту (1999). She has published 52 publications so far. She teaches German language stylistics and linguo-stylistic text interpretation. Fields of scholarly research: text linguistics and stylistics, functional stylistics, the sociolinguistic aspects of textual pragmatics, translation problems. Alena Jaklova (Alena Jaklová) – associate professor of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the South Czech University in Czech Budejovice. Her fields are stylistics, text interpretation (she is co-author of Complex Analysis of the Communication Process and Text – Komplexní analýza komunikačního procesu a textu, České Budějovice 1987), slang, linguistic situation of the South Czech region (editor of the anthology Language and Speech of the South Czech Region – Jazyk a řeč jihočeského regionu, I–IV, 1992-1995) and expression of contemporary youth (author of the monograph Interdisciplinary Research of Lingual Activities of the Young – Interdisciplinárni výzkum řečové činnosti mládeže, České Budějovice 1986). Alicja Jakubovska-Ožug (Alicja Jakubowska-Ożóg) – doctor of philology. Associate professor at the Institute of Polish Philology at the University of Rzeszov (Poland). In 1998 she acquired the title of doctor of literary studies. She is especially interested in the principles of Polish language and literature teaching, as well as in analysing fiction and 20th century Polish literature. She is the author of the monographic study entitled Poezja emigracyjna Józefa Łobodowskiego (2001). She has published 47 technical and scholarly articles dealing with specific features of modern Polish literature and with the interpretation of fiction works at school. She is also a member of the editorial board of the literary journal Fraza which is intended to introduce beginner fiction writers and poets to the general public. Milan Jelinek (Milan Jelínek) – professor at the Masarik University of Brno, of which he was also rector, and also teaches at the Shleski University of Opava. He is author of the monograph On the Language and Style of Newspapers (O jazyku a stylu novin, Praha 1957), co-author in the publication On the Every-day Czech Language (O češtině každodenní, Brno 1984), Handy Grammar of the Czech Language (Přiruční mluvnice češtiny, Praha 1995) etc. His field is stylistics (mainly the publistic and expert style), systematically works on the spreading of lingual culture and the popularization of the language. Sergej S. Jermolenko (Сергiй С. Ермоленко) – candidate of philological studies, senior scholarly associate at the General Linguistics Department of the “A. A. Potebnja” Linguistics Institute of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences. His scholarly interests comprise functional grammar, linguo-semiotics, comparative-historical linguistics and historical typology. He has published the following monographs: Образные средства морфологии, Методологические основы новых направлений в мировом языкознаии (co-author), Общая лексика германских и балтославянских языков (co-author), Питання теорії мови в зарубіжному мовознавстві. He is a translator of modern Polish poetry (Я. Твардовський, “Треба йти далі, або прогулянка сонечка” – co-author). Jelena A. Kalašnjikova (Елена А. Калашникова) – master of philology, senior lecturer at the Russian Language Department, the dean of the Historical-Philological Faculty of Karelian State Teacher Training University. The topic of her master’s thesis (1997) is Синтаксический параллелизм как средство организации эпического текста (на материале былинкиевского цикла и рун «Калевалы»). She has published over 25 technical and scholarly works in the areas of linguo-folklorist studies, stylistics and methodology of Russian language teaching, including textbooks and the monograph Культура устной и письменной речи: Социомониторинг языковой личности и эффективные методики совершенствования речи (Petrozavodsk, 2005). Ana Kaminjska (Анна Каминьска) – adjunct, master of philology, expert for Russian diachronic linguistics. She works at the Linguistics Department of the Institute of Russian Studies of Lodz University. The topic of her master’s thesis (2005) is Суффиксальное словообразование имен существительных в русском языке XVII века (нарицательные названия лиц). Tatjana P. Karpilovič (Татьяна П. Карпилович) – candidate of philological studies, senior lecturer at the Department of Speech Linguistics and Theory of Communications of the State Linguistic University of Minsk. The field of her scholarly interest: stylistics, text linguistics, the modelling of speech-thinking processes. She has published over 70 scholarly and technical works, including two monographs. Marija P. Kotjurova (Мария П. Котюрова) – doctor of philology, professor, head of the Department of Russian Language and Stylistics of the State University of Perm. Котов) – master of philology, senior lecturer at the Russian Language Department of Petrozavodsk State University. Mihail Kristek (Michal Kristek) – Master of Philology, lecturer at the Czech Language Department of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno. His field of scholarly interest: stylistics and rhetoric, especially the synchronic aspect, he also investigates the style of Karel Polácek, one of the renowned Czech authors between the two wars. Apart from studies and articles published in scholarly journals, he was also present as a member of the team Argumentace a umeni komunikovat (Argumentation and the Art of Communication, 1999) and Encyklopedický slovnik ceštiny (The Encyclopaedia of the Czech Language, 2002). Goran Maksimović – PhD of literary studies, reader for the Serbian Literature of the 18th and 19th Centuries (Serbian pre-romanticism, Serbian romanticism, Serbian realism). At the Faculty of Philosophy in Pale of the Republic of Srpska University in Srpsko Sarajevo he has been working since 1997/1998 as visiting professor for the Serbian Literature of the 18th and 19th Centuries (Serbian rationalism and romanticism, Serbian realism). In postgraduate studies (Language Studies Branch) of the Faculty of Philosophy of Novi Sad, in the academic year 2002/2003, he held the course Comedy and the Comical in the 19th Century Serbian Literature. Since January 2002, he has been Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, editor-in-chief and supervisor of the publishing activity at the same Faculty. He was editor-in-chief in the “Zograf” Publishing Company in Niš (1998-2000), and since 2002 has been the initiator and assistant editor-in-chief of the Slava literary journal in Niš. In addition, he is a member of editorial board of the journals: Književni list (since 1999), Bdenje (since 2002), Nova zora (since 2004). In scholarly and professional periodicals, collections of papers from scholarly conferences, and in literary journals, he has published over 170 studies, essays, treatises and reviews. He has published five author’s books: Umjetnost pripovijedanja Branislava Nušića (1995) (=The Narrative Art of Branislav Nušić), Mađija Sremčevog smijeha (1998) (=The Magic of Sremac’s Laugh), Domanovićev smijeh (2000) (=Domanović’s Laugh), Srpske književne teme (2002) (=Serbian Literary Topics), Trijumf smijeha – Komično u srpskoj umjetničkoj prozi od Dositeja Obradovića do Petra Kočića (2003) (=The Triumph of Laughter – the Comical in Serbian Artistic Prose from Dositej Obradović to Petar Kočić). He has composed two anthologies and edited over ten books for printing. Violeta Mačnicka (Violetta Machnicka) – doctor of linguistics. She works as a senior lecturer at the Academy Podlasie (Siedlce) at the Institute of Polish Philology, Linguistics Department. She teaches the history of the Polish language, dialectology, Polish language culture, lexicology and lexicography and linguistic stylistics. She is the author of the monograph Studia nad językiem ‘Kronik’ Bolesława Prusa, as well as the book Aforyzmy i refleksje wybrane z ‘Kronik’ Bolesława Prusa (in print). Zenon Ožug (Zenon Ożóg) – adjunct at the Institute of Polish Philology of Rzeszow University. He teaches the following subjects: Poetics, Analysis and Interpretation of a Literary Work, 20th Century Polish Literature, Research Methodology in the Field of Literary Studies etc. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1993. He primarily deals with modern Polish literature from the aspect of literary stylistics, theory and history of literature. He is the author of 38 articles from literary studies, 14 reviews, and the editor of 10 collections of scholarly papers and almanachs of poetical works. He published the monograph Romantycy czasu wojny. Tradycja romantyczna w poezji Krzysztofa Kamila Baczyńskiego oraz poetów “Sztuki i Narodu” (2002). He has almost finished composing a monograph on the subject of poetical prayer. He is the longstanding editor of the Fraza literary journal. Vladimir Patraš (Vladimir Patráš) – doctor of philology, linguist – slovakophil, professor at the Mateja Bela University in Banjska Bistrica. In his research, pedagogical tasks and published works he pays attention to linguistic communication from the socio-linguistic point of view. He is co-author of two studies, 20 textbooks for primary school, about 50 papers published in Slovakia and abroad. He took part in 45 conferences, domestic and abroad. His work is focused on the function of linguistic communication in society, language and communication culture in the fields of public mass media and in political communication, on research in the domain of spoken forms of language in cities and in (interest and professional) micro-societies. He also deals with the issues of style, rhetoric, managerial communication and communication technology in teaching. Ivo Pospišil (Ivo Pospíšil) – Ph.D., professor, head of the Department of Slavistics of the Masarik University Faculty of Philology in Brno. The sphere of his scientific interests: literature theory, genology and comparativistics, theory of Slavic literatures, novel theory. Радзиевска) – doctor of philology, senior scientific associate at the “A. A. Potebnia” Institute of Linguistics of the Ukraine National Academy of Science. Works as lead scientific associate of the department of general linguistics. She published over 60 papers, among which the monograph: Текст як засіб комунікації (Київ, 1993) and the chapter Текстовая коммуникация. Текстообразование in the collective monograph Коммуникация, модальность, дейксис (Moscow, 1992). Sphere of her scientific interests: text-linguistics, functional stylistics, analysis of discourse, semantics, syntax, pragmatics, theory of spoken genres, socio-linguistic aspects of text pragmatics. Ana Radzik (Anna Radzik) – doctor of linguistics, she studied Russian and German philology at the Jagiellonian University, and is an adjunct at the Institute of Neo-Philology at the Teacher Training Academy in Krakow. She is the author of the monograph Ze studiów nad frazeologią historyczną języka rosyjskiego. Frazeologizmy w niemiecko-łacińsko-rosyjskim Leksykonie petersburskim z 1731 roku (Kraków 2000) and reviser of the volume Pogranicza – literatura, teatr i psychiatria. Polsko-niemiecki bilans badań naukowych i doświadczenia praktycznego (Kraków 2001). Sphere of scholarly interests: phraseology, lexicology, text stylistics, language history. Milana Radić-Dugonjić – doctor of philology, professor at the Department of Slavistics at the Belgrade University Faculty of Philology, where she teaches the lexicology of the Russian language and Russian to Slavistics students. Over fifty papers of hers have been published in international domestic and foreign magazines. She is the author of two monographs: “Inter-linguistic homonyms and Serbo-Croatian Language” (Dečje novine, Gornji Milanovac, 1991) and “Word. Sense. Cognition” (co-authored by S. Ristić, Belgrade University Faculty of Philology, 1999). Apart from that, she co-operated as assistant to the editor-in-chief and composer in the creating of the Russian – Serbo-Croatian dictionary edited by B. Stanković (Matica Srpsk – Sovjetska Enciklopedija, Novi Sad – Moscow, 1988). Her fields are theoretic and applied lexicology, lexicography, translation theory, teaching methods for the Russian language. Larisa Razdobudko-Čović – doctor of philology, associate professor at the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy of Priština (Kosovska Mitrovica). She holds the courses: Introduction to Slavic Studies and Russian Language 3. She has published over 70 scholarly and specialist works and treatises. She has participated in over 50 international scholarly meetings. She has translated several books from Serbian into Russian. She translates contemporary Serbian lyrics and plays. She has published the following books: Rusko-srpska komparativna istraživanja (Russian-Serbian Comparative Research) (Belgrade: Vedes, 2001, 212 p.), Semantika i pragmatika somatizma u srpskom i ruskom jeziku (The Semantics and Pragmatics of Somatism in the Serbian and Russian Languages) (Belgrade: Vedes, 2002, 400), Ljubišina “Bisernica” (Ljubiša’s “Pearl Box”) (Budva: Mediteran, 2003, 183 p.). Currently in preparation is the book Kulturološko-stilistička komparativna istraživanja (Cultural-Stylistic Comparative Research). Dejan Raković – doctor of technical sciences. He teaches Modern Materials and Technologies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, where he has held many courses in the fields of physics and the technology of materials, as well as biophysics, in undergraduate and postgraduate studies. He is a co-author of about ten secondary school and university textbooks. He was the Head of the Department of Materials in Electrical Engineering for several terms of office. He is now Head of the undergraduate Department of Biomedical and Ecological Engineering, as well as of the postgraduate Department of Electrical Engineering Materials and Technologies. His scholarly interests cover the fields of nano-materials and biomaterials, nano-technologies and spectroscopy, biophysics and bio-computer science of cognitive psychosomatic electrophysiological functions. He has co-edited six books in an edition of the journal Materials Science Forum of the Swiss publisher Trans Tech Publications from Zurich, and has co-edited five books published by the European Centre for Peace and Development (ECPD) of the United Nations’ University for Peace in Belgrade. He is also a co-publisher of the International Anti-Stress Centre (IASC) from Belgrade. He was elected President of the IASC Managing Board, with broad-ranging holistic educational anti-stress activities. He has published about 200 scholarly works and reports and nearly 30 books cited approximately 300 times in scientific periodicals and monographs. He has given many lectures on call in former Yugoslavia and abroad. Miloje M. Rakočević – doctor of chemistry, full professor at the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Niš, where he teaches the methodology, philosophy and history of natural sciences. He also teaches in postgraduate studies at the Centre for Molecular Machines of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade (the theory of the genetic code and information biology). He is primarily dealing with investigations of the possible existence of a universal code of nature on examples of the genetic code and the chemical code (the periodic table of chemical elements), and also on examples of literary classics (Homer, Dante, Shakespeare, Goethe, Pushkin, Njegoš, Tolstoy...) Oksana N. Samusenko (Оксана Н. Самусенко) – master of philology, assistant lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian and Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of Philology of Kiev National University „Taras Shevchenko“. Her master’s thesis is entitled: Мифопоэтические истоки суггестии в русских телевизионных текстах. She has published 14 scholarly and technical works. Sphere of scholarly interests: ethnolinguistics, mythological poetics, suggestive linguistics, linguo-culturology. Andrej Stojanović – doctor of philology, professor at the Belgrade University. He published over 100 papers from the fields of applied linguistics and teaching methods for foreign languages, syntax and functional stylistics. The narrow field of his scientific interests: scientific functional style of the Serbian and Russian languages. Zamir K. Tarlanov (Замир К. Тарланов) – doctor of philology, professor, head of the Department of Russian at the Petrozavodsk State University. He bears the title “Meritorious Scientist” awarded by the Russian Federation, is a member of the Council for Russian of the Government of the Russian Federation. He published over 200 papers on the Russian language and its history, the language of belletristic literature, folklore, general linguistics and caucasology. In the academic year 1992/1993 he worked as lead scientific associate of the Linguistics Institute of the Russian Academy of Science and scientific associate of the “A. S. Pushkin” Institute of Russian. Since 1993 he has been guest teacher at the Manheim University Institute of Slavistics (in 1995 at the Leipzih University). As guest teacher he lectured in Moscow, Poznanj, Warsaw, Bratislava, Loven, Tartu, Zagreb, Zadar and Veliko Trnovo. He published over 200 scientific and expert papers, of those 19 monographs and special editions. He translated several books and a series of articles. He participated in a great number of scientific gatherings. He edited the magazines: “Slavist” and “Prizma” (which he himself initiated). He worked as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš (Serbia), the Faculty of Philosophy in Banjaluka (Republic of Srpska), and at the Faculty of Philosophy and Special Education in Tuzla (Bosnia Herzegovina). He has published over 100 expert and scientific papers. A number of them has been published in foreign magazines and anthologies in Serbian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and English. He is member of the World Organization of Dialectologists and Geo-linguists seated in FR Germany, and of the International Committee of Slavists seated in the Czech Republic. For the achieved results in scholarship and the development of stylistics within Slavic studies, he acquired an honorary Russian doctorate in 2005. In 2006 he was appointed lecturer at the University of Opole (Poland). Valerija E. Černjavska (Валерия Е. Чернявская) – doctor of philology, professor, Head of the Department of Germanic Languages and Translation of the State University of Economics and Financing in Sanct Petersburg. She has published around 50 scholarly works, including three monographs and four university textbooks. The most important books: Интертекстуальное взаимодействие как основа научной коммуникации (Sanct Petersburg, 1999), Интерпретация научного текста (Sanct Petersburg, 2004). The sphere of scholarly interests: text linguistics, discourse theory and analysis, text typology, the issues of the science of all sciences and scientific communication. She is a member of the Linguistic Society of Sanct Petersburg, the Russian Linguistic Association of Cognitologists etc. Branimir Čović – doctor of philology, full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. He is a member of the Literary Association of Serbia, the Association of Literary Translators of Serbia, a full member – associate of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad, and of the Institute of World Literature in Moscow. The editor of the Library of Komparatistika (“Comparative Studies”) at the “Vedes” Publishing House from Belgrade.
